Is there a poker variant that combines stud and hold’em?

Is there a form of poker in which some of each player’s hand is dealt face up, but there is still a flop? I think this would be interesting, as it would be focused more on each player’s skill to determine who has the best hand. You would almost know, but usually you couldn’t be certain, because there would be at least one card of each hand still face down.

   I do not know of any variations of poker as you have described. Holdem was derived from Stud. It would be interesting and I would play it, but it may give too much information away, unless you added the stipulation that you have to use two cards from your hand.
